Venue photos capture one finished moment. Guest experience depends on flow, sound, service details and contract restrictions.
Ask before the viewing
Share the date, lunch or dinner, table range and ceremony needs. Ask for minimum spend, service charge, deposit schedule and access hours in writing.
Action checklist
- What minimum spend includes and how any shortfall can be used
- Whether bridal room, AV, pre-dinner drinks and parking cost extra
- Date-change and cancellation terms
Walk the guest journey
Walk from the nearest MTR exit to reception, washrooms and ballroom. Note lift queues, accessible routes, columns, screen sightlines and sound dead zones.
Action checklist
- Request a real floor plan for your expected table count
- Confirm changeover time for tea ceremony, solemnisation and photos
- Outdoor venues need a same-capacity backup plan
Document before you leave
Photograph entrances, ceiling height, stage, columns, power points and bridal room. Summarise the sales answers by email and ask for confirmation before comparing.
Action checklist
- Compare the full landed total, not only price per table
- Get the expiry time of any tentative hold in writing
The one thing to remember
The best venue is not the prettiest photo; it is the one that works smoothly for your count, flow and budget.
